Leslie H. Thompson, 93, of Champaign, formerly of Tamaroa, passed away Saturday morning, February 5, 2005 at his residence.
Leslie had been employed as a clerk for the railroad retiring in 1973. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He was a US Navy veteran of W.W. II.
He was born August 17, 1911 at Sesser, IL the son of Elbert and Louella (Melvin) Thompson.
He married Adele Sapper in 1940 at Tamaroa, IL and she preceded him in death. He then married Minnie Nelson in 1970 at Champaign and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by a sister- Ruby Goodman of Prescott, AZ, nephew- Ellis Melvin of Tamaora, niece- Kathryn Lynch of Tamaroa, special care giver- Dennis Wiziecki of Urbana.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and wives.
Masonic graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, February 11, 2005 at the Tamaroa Cemetery with the Masonic Lodge officiating.
Interment will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery.
The Searby Funeral Home of Tamaroa is in charge of arrangements.
Those attending the services are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
